Today Alexie Seller begins her transition from CEO of Pollinate Group to becoming a member of our Board of Directors.
It also marks the start of our recruitment for a new CEO.
Without doubt Pollinate Group would not be where we are today, in a position to scale fast with a strong capable team, without Alexie’s dedication, incredible work ethic and inspiring leadership.
As a co-founder of Pollinate back in 2012, Alexie has seen the organisation grow from a pilot of solar lights in Bangalore, to an innovative organisation impacting more than 550,000 people across India and Nepal.
Alexie will continue to lead Pollinate Group during the recruitment and will work closely with the new CEO as part of the transition.
Both the Board and team at Pollinate Group are inspired by the enormous potential of our future and we look forward to announcing our new CEO in the coming months.

Message from Alexie Seller, CEO
Hello out there… big news to share today!
Pollinate Group has never been in a better position. It is at this point in the organisation’s journey, and my personal journey, that I have decided to transition out of the role of CEO. I will be moving from India to Darwin, Australia to take a break and seek opportunities in a new place.
The past six years has been incredible. I have seen our work grow from a pilot project in a slum in Bangalore to a global operation that’s impacted more than 555,000 people spanning across India and Nepal, with a presence in Australia and the US.
I’ve also learned more about myself as a leader, contributor to social and environmental change, and just general human-being than I thought possible. I could not be more grateful for the chance I have had to explore, create, make mistakes, and laugh with the wonderful people who make up our Pollinate family and have supported me along the way.
This last year has been one of the most memorable for me. We implemented a first-of-its-kind social enterprise merger where we welcomed an inspiring new team in Nepal. We also made big pivots to bring women to the front and centre of our business model. These women, as the household managers in the slums and remote villages we serve, understand what their families need and are actively looking for opportunities to lead their communities out of poverty. We are proud to be able to assist in this journey by engaging them as entrepreneurs with a motivating career growth path into the future. Solar continues to be the key product we sell and our expanded product range, informed by the communities we serve, will only continue to contribute to social and environmental benefits for all.
Which brings me to where we are today, and why I am so excited for the future ahead.
We have a formidable team, a proven model, great demand from communities, and we are positioned to scale across some of the most populous regions of South Asia, where hundreds of millions of people still live in poverty – without access to opportunities or products that can make their lives better.
We are now seeking a visionary leader to accelerate our impact building on our history of innovation. This leader be capable of delivering on our mission to achieve gender equality and end poverty through inclusive social business. They will also be a proactive leader who nurtures and inspires our diverse, passionate and entrepreneurial team.
